Everyone I've talked to doesn't really like this flower because it's cut and incomplete. That's why I like it. It's not the typical flower shot. It's a little sad. I think it has an everyday feel. Not all flowers are perfect. And the bee likes it just fine!
People seem to like this one better. It's a little cliche to me. And the bee...that's not good photography...it's just luck! Actually, timing is so important. Now if only I had shot the bee flying away on purpose....

I think they're both beautiful shots. I like close up photos a lot. I try to take them a lot but they rarely work out.
I really like these photos, especially the first one of the not perfect flower. The shot celebrates its imperfections. Some people may call it ugly, but that's because they don't see its true nature.
